I Met Autumn

I met Autumn today.
She greeted me with
open arms,
arms adorned by
sleeves of
brilliant color
that lit up
every single
sidewalk
and avenue
of life.

She said she would
stay for a while
and keep me company
before
Winter returned
to
my homeland.

And before
we parted ways
she sent me
a
refreshing breeze
that let my hair
fly loose
and lingered in my bones.
