Impossible

I am future-oriented. That is who I am and what I strive to be. To get it all, the way I define it. Exact.
Still, I fail to realize that the future is not exactly tangible. If you think about it, you can never touch the future, because it will always be one step ahead. But that doesn’t stop me from chasing after the uncatchable, trying to accomplish the impossible. Some may say that there are no such things as impossibility, but I think there are. My objective is not in reversing the impossible, but achieving the unlikely. I'm on a mission to shine.

  2. Aw Joy, you are so absolutely sweet. And this is exactly what I wanted to hear.
The funny thing is, I thought this vignette in particular SUCKED. I was up writing it at 3 am and falling asleep while writing it, so it didn't make sense at all. But I guess I'm enough of a poet (or I hope so), that I can still write when I'm not really functioning? Haha, thanks. Anyone can make a vignette sound amazing. They're just designed that way - beautiful.
P.S. I'm so happy you found this blog, I totally didn't expect you to :) For the next few days I'm just going to post school work I've done in the past, and liked. Also, if you look up there are some other bars, that have pages about photography and music :D

  3. haha okay and vignettes in general are ok but I like this one in that it seems more of a reflection than a rhyme thing.. helppppp why do I suck at doing hw fast? its literally ruining my life and gpa... ;( and haha the newest one, I was like, jonah? way to change the names, smart. but what about your name? the users a bit obvi, no? but then again not many people can find this, hopefully?

  4. Well, yeah. It's alright that my name is on here, for the people that I know. But it's dangerous if I post pictures of myself, which is why my other blog is private. But, I think it's fair to keep the names of people I know private, just cause.
Ah, you can do it. You have to believe in yourself first! :]

  8. An 84 isn't bad. Just be grateful with what you have and put your best foot forward.
Aw, I miss you and mixie.
Also, thanks for commenting. :) But I'd like to keep my comment sections for criticism and feedback only! Thanks. Especially since this is a blog about more serious/artistic stuff. I just want it to seem more professional and with comments that will help me improve in my writing and photography. MIss you, bud.

  9. well i like this one and the new zealand one and the one about the house, young love and more...

    well constructive criticism wise,
To get it all the way I define it. this sentence was a little awkwardly phrased compared to the rest of it, try attain, reach, or something else, and what are you defining? sucess? future? i kinda missed that sry mayb im just bad at interp

  10. Honestly Joy, that's the thing about poetry. It's pretty open to interpretation. And that's why I love it. In literature, there's a pretty concrete definition of where the story leads. But in poetry it's a lot more general and open, metaphors do that.
What I define is for you to decide as the reader.
Thanks again for the feedback, I'm loving it!
Sometimes sentences that seem awkward are written like that stylistically in my opinion, but I'll try to make it flow better from now on.

  11. true Im just being nitpicky, poetry wise, theres not much to criticize cause its so open and subjective. yeah I get what you mean, get does seem to fit kinda but maybe the comma disrupts the meaning? um please like enter a couple of these in the next poetry contest you find?

  12. No, thanks a ton for your feedback. It honestly helps a bundle.
And hahaha, alright. I'll enter some contests, that's actually a good idea! Maybe I can promote the blog more, through winning a contest. :)
